Dec 24, 2020 · Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector. Turn off Macbook Air ,close lid for 1 minute ,open lid then plug usb c cable back in.This worked for me.This is sort of a NVRAM or SMC reset for M1 Macs.Battery no charge problem was fixed doing this so it must work.

Jan 7, 2021 · The 30W charger from the MacBook Air definitely doesn't have enough power to supply both USB-C and USB-A ports on my Caldigit SOHO dock. My M1 MacBook Air goes to sleep when using clamshell mode if I plug in an ethernet adapter and then a thumb drive. I guess if the charge falls off, the power circuit thinks the MBA isn't plugged in to the charger.
Is 20w adapter enough to charge and operate M1 MacBook Air?

This display was a recent purchase about a month and a half ago. Before that, I was using my old Apple 27" Thunderbolt display which also had no issues.
