My MagSafe Charging Case definitely has a USB-C port yet the model number imprinted in the case is A2968 and the Apple Support site identifies model A2968 as the MagSafe Charging Case (Lightning) introduced in 2022. But there is no mistaking a Lightning port for a USB-C port.

The only reason I upgraded from AirPods Pro 1 was I had a Microcenter replacement warranty, and AirPods pro1 had an issue with one bud. I took the gift card and bought AirPods Pro 2.
