A little bit of teammate on teammate action today at Sonoma Raceway between Daniel Suárez and Ross Chastain. The two NASCAR drivers have been amigos for years, but Suárez is fuming mad and looking for retaliation after getting spun by Chastain.
Shane van Gisbergen provided a reminder of why he was considered the overwhelming favorite for Sunday's race at Sonoma in the first stage of the race. The Kiwi drove away from the field once the stage hit its halfway point, putting in lap after lap better than his rivals to pull out a lead of more than seven seconds.
