Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet Donald Trump in the White House early Monday evening in an effort to broker a truce with Hamas in Gaza and days after the United States bombed Iran nuclear sites.

Trump said on Sunday there was a good chance such a deal could be reached this week, while Netanyahu said he believed his discussions with Trump would help advance talks underway in Qatar.
