KU needs a win to keep alive its hopes of returning to a bowl game, while BYU is in the mix for a Big 12 championship and berth in the College Football Playoff. For the Jayhawks to win this game, they probably need to score 30-plus points and not turn over the ball. The offense may have finally found its stride, and if so, that will help.

Quarterback Jake Retzlaff has burst onto the scene this year after just four appearances last year. Retzlaff isn’t lighting the conference on fire, but is doing enough to help his team win. Retzlaff is completing 58% of his passes for 2,091 yards (8th in the conference) with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
