AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Tigers rose in the most recent AP poll, which was released Sunday afternoon, moving from No. 24 to No. 22 after defeating South Alabama, 31-15, on Saturday.
Auburn football cracked the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time since 2021 on Monday. It ended a nearly four-year long drought, which was the program's longest since the 1960s.
The last time Auburn found itself in the AP Top 25 came after the Tigers dropped to No. 18 following a 20-3 loss to Texas A&M in 2021. Auburn lost to Mississippi State the following week, dropping out of the top 25 and not returning until now.
The Tigers found themselves at No. 25 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll, released early Sunday afternoon, marking the first time Auburn has cracked the Coaches Poll since Nov. 7, 2021.

A UBURN — The first SEC contest of Auburn football 's 2025 season is getting an afternoon kickoff, as the league announced Monday that the Tigers' tilt with Oklahoma on Sept. 20 will begin at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC in Norman. It's poised to be Auburn 's first ranked-on-ranked matchup since facing then-No. 13 Texas A&M in November 2021.
