After three double-digit losses to open the season, Monmouth faces its toughest test against nationally ranked Rutgers at Jersey Mike's Arena.

It took all of 27 seconds for Ace Bailey to set the RAC on fire in his Rutgers basketball debut Friday. The freshman phenom, who sat out the first two games with a hip injury, swished a 3-pointer from the right corner on the opening possession of a 98-81 win over Monmouth after junior guard Jordan Derkack found him with a laser pass from the top of the arc.

Almost one year ago to the day, Ace Bailey signed his letter of intent to join Rutgers. Fans have been patiently waiting for Bailey to take the floor in a Scarlet Knight uniform and on Friday night, a full-throated crowd at Jersey Mike’s Arena got their wish.
