The entire country will fall under a Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning from 8pm tonight until 10am on Wednesday morning

A LOW TEMPERATURE and ice warning will be in place across the country tomorrow.As of 7pm this evening, the northern half of the country is under a Status Yellow alert for snow and ice, with a similar warning issued by the UK Met Office across Northern Ireland.

Snow and sleet is expected to fall in parts of the country on Monday night as temperatures take a steep drop nationwide. Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning and is forecasting sub-zero temperatures for Monday night,

There is a yellow warning for snow-ice in some parts of the country at the moment, including Donegal, Cavan, Sligo, Leitrim and Monaghan. The Met office in the UK also has one in place for Northern Ireland until 10am this morning.
