Kenton County dismissed felony rioting charges for 11 people who participated in a July 17 protest on the Roebling Bridge. The remaining four still facing those charges were involved in a controversial arrest in which an officer punched a protester multiple times.

Meanwhile, Ayman Soliman, the man for whom the protest was held, is due in U.S. District Court on Thursday. The former Cincinnati Children's Hospital chaplain, detained by ICE, remains in Butler County Jail awaiting his next hearing. His lawyer will seek to extend an injunction granted last week to keep Soliman in the jail.
