Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, Nov. 17. Officers tell WBRC they responded to the 1000 block of Huffman Road on reports of a person shot call just after 12:30 a.

The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide that occured early Sunday morning.According to BPD,

The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) said officers were dispatched on a child shot about 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 and later located a scene near Lexington Street at 7th Avenue in Wylam. Police also responded to Children's of Alabama where they learned the toddler was being treated.

Birmingham police are on the scene of a homicide near Gadsden Highway and Parkway East.
