Kristaps Porzingis remains sidelined as he continues to work himself back towards game fitness. The Boston Celtics forward is recovering from surgery and isn't expected to make his season debut until late December or early January. However, that hasn't stopped the All-Star big man from finding other ways to help his team during his absence.

Coach Joe Mazzulla said Porzingis has been doing some full-court one-on-five work with assistant coaches. Point guard Jrue Holiday worked on defensive drills with Porzingis during Friday’s practice, and it provided a reminder of what Porzingis will provide when he returns.

Kristaps Porzingis is progressing well in his rehab, though there's still no concrete timetable on his return.

Porzingis reportedly is targeting a December return, though his exact timeline remains unclear and the Celtics likely will be cautious with their difference-making 7-footers. Getting him back should provide a big boost to Boston’s rim defense, which has been lacking through the first 13 games.
