A sailor went overboard last month off of the USS Abraham Lincoln, three US officials told CNN, amid reports of worsening mental health for crew members on the ship during an extended deployment for the Iran war.

US Navy aircraft carriers have been out to sea longer and longer over the last year. USS Gerald R. Ford broke records and now USS Abraham Lincoln will be out to see for an extended period of time. The mental health strains are clearly starting to impact the crew.
