Lando Norris won a chaotic British Grand Prix on Sunday, navigating a rain-hit race punctuated by several safety cars and taking advantage of his teammate Oscar Piastri incurring a 10-second penalty as one of those safety cars pulled off the track.

The weather drama began even before the lights had gone out. All 20 cars opted to start on intermediate tyres, but as the sun came out and the track dried ahead of the start, George Russell and Charles Leclerc both pitted for slick rubber.
