The Holiday Pie is a handheld pastry with a flaky, buttery crust and a sugar glaze. It's covered in multicolored sprinkles and filled with a rich vanilla custard. Despite having the rectangular shape of McDonald's apple pie, it's pretty distinctive taste-wise — and has legions of devoted fans.

The pies are offered at select Michigan locations, the company said. The pie was listed as available at locations that include Ann Arbor, 2675 Plymouth Road; Lansing, 3200 E. Saginaw Road; Grand Rapids, 417 Michigan Ave.; and Detroit, 1000 Mack Ave.
