Fort Worth police released a video of a suspect who assaulted and robbed a passenger on a Trinity Metro bus on Oct. 30.

Fort Worth - A person was shot early Tuesday near Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2800 block of Avenue K shortly after 2:30 a.m. Officers said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The shooting happened just after 8:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Pathway Drive. The victim was shot in the head and taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown. Investigators are working to figure out what may have led up to the shooting.

Several suspects who tried to break into a vehicle at an apartment complex in Mesquite were arrested after a pursuit that ended in Fort Worth, police said.

Medical personnel attempted to resuscitate the victim, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
