Two ‘minor’ earthquakes, 3.5 and 3.4, reported near Fontana on Saturday
Two 3.0+ earthquakes were reported in the Inland Empire on Saturday near Fontana, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The first magnitude 3.5 earthquake happened at around 2:17 p.m. about 4.5 miles northwest of Fontana and about a mile and a half deep into the ground, the USGS said.
Magnitude 3.4 earthquake rattles Fontana
A magnitude 3.4 earthquake hit the Fontana area Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The Inland Empire quake was centered just under five miles northwest of Fontana, the agency said. It happened at a depth of roughly 2½ miles at 8:17 p.m. No injuries or damage was reported.
