Negotiations are set to continue on Tuesday between District Council 33 and the Parker administration, a union spokesperson told CBS News.

Mounds of trash continued to overwhelm streets in Philadelphia on Monday as contract talks between the city and District Council 33 remain at a standstill.

The negotiations resumed Saturday afternoon at the Community College of Philadelphia's West Philly campus. Both sides are back at the table trying to reach a deal as pressure builds and trash continues to pile up across the city.
